VIJAYA LEAF EXTRACT: WHAT THE 2% ACTUALLY CONTAINS

The 2% Vijaya Leaf Extract is not a simple herbal powder. It is a standardised phytochemical complex extracted from Cannabis sativa leaves that contains

  • Cannabidiol (CBD) — non-psychoactive cannabinoid. Acts on CB2 receptors in joint synovium and peripheral immune cells. Clinically demonstrated reduction in joint inflammation and nociceptor sensitisation.
  • Cannabigerol (CBG) — precursor cannabinoid with documented analgesic and antibacterial properties. Acts on both CB1 and CB2 receptors. Anti-inflammatory via TRP channel modulation.
  • Beta-caryophyllene (terpene) — a dietary cannabinoid found in cannabis leaf that selectively activates CB2 receptors. Present in the extract as a natural anti-inflammatory co-factor
  • Myrcene (terpene) — sedative and muscle-relaxant terpene. Enhances the penetration of other cannabinoids across the skin barrier (the ‘entourage effect’). Reduces muscle spasm and referred nerve pain.
  • No THC — Vijaya Leaf Extract in this formula contains no tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). It is non-psychoactive, non-addictive, and completely legal under Indian AYUSH regulations.

HEMP SEED OIL: WHY 98% IS NOT A COMPROMISE

Hemp seed oil is chosen as the base for Flamnol — not as a cost-saving measure, but as a clinical choice. Mineral oil, which is the base of most topical pain products including Volini and similar gels, is a petroleum byproduct with no therapeutic activity. It sits on the skin surface and acts only as a lubricant. Hemp seed oil, in contrast:

  • Penetrates 3–4 layers of dermis — comparable to prescription transdermal patch carriers —
    delivering the Vijaya Leaf Extract into the joint capsule and adjacent tissue.
  • Contains Omega-3 (alpha-linolenic acid) and Omega-6 (linoleic acid) in a 1:3 ratio — the
    optimal ratio for anti-inflammatory fatty acid signalling. These fatty acids compete with
    arachidonic acid in the COX pathway, reducing the inflammatory substrate.
  • Contains gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) — a potent anti-inflammatory fatty acid that reduces joint
    inflammation through the DGLA pathway, separately from the COX mechanism.
  • Absorbs fully without residue — unlike coconut oil or sesame oil, hemp seed oil has a dry skin
    feel and does not leave a greasy film. This is clinically significant: oils that sit on the surface are
    not penetrating.

Is nabhi oil scientifically valid or is it just an Ayurvedic belief?

Both  and both are sufficient. The Ayurvedic classical framework of the navel as a Marma point connected to the nervous system is thousands of years of clinical observation distilled into a conceptual model. The modern anatomical explanation is specific and verifiable: the navel sits above the celiac plexus, connected to the vagus nerve, which governs the parasympathetic nervous system. Transdermal absorption through the navel is documented. Every individual ingredient in CALMNOL™  Jatamansi, Ashwagandha, Valerian, Roman Chamomile, Saffron  has a long history of traditional use and general wellness research behind it. You do not need to believe in chakras for this to work. The anatomy and the phytochemistry stand on their own.

Many people notice a difference in how quickly they fall asleep within the first one to two weeks of consistent nightly use. Deeper, more restful sleep tends to build gradually with continued use. Yes, a gentler formulation is suitable for children above 5, with full usage details included on the product packaging and insert. Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba, and Roman Chamomile are commonly used in children’s skincare and sleep products. We recommend a patch test on the inner arm before first use. If your child has a diagnosed condition or is on any medication, please consult your paediatrician before starting.

At 4 drops per night, one bottle lasts approximately 50 nights  nearly 7 weeks. Store away from direct heat and light. The amber glass protects the botanical actives for the full shelf life.

The castor and almond oil base can leave a faint mark on light fabrics if direct contact occurs immediately after application. The navel cavity naturally contains the oil — fabric contact is minimal if you lie still for 5 minutes post-application. If concerned, use a cotton navel guard pad (available at any pharmacy) placed over the navel after application.
